Down 23 lbs on tirz post-sleeve, cellulite looked worse at first - here's what I think is happening

sleeve in 2017, dropped to 168, regained to 198 during the pandemic, started tirz in march 2024. sitting at 175 now on 10mg. and yes, the inner thigh situation got visibly worse somewhere around the 15-lb mark before it started looking different. what i think is happening, and i want to be clear this is observation not data: rapid subq fat loss doesn’t happen evenly. the fibrous bands that create the dimpling don’t shrink at the same rate as the fat around them. so as the surrounding tissue depletes, those bands become more prominent. the cellulite isn’t necessarily worse - it’s just less buried. what makes the post-bariatric case weirder is that my skin has already been through one fast stretch-and-shrink cycle. the sleeve took me from 312 to 168 in about 18 months. elasticity doesn’t fully recover from that, and now it’s being asked to remodel again. my NUT calls it connective tissue debt, which is part of why i started the GHK-Cu experiment before the sinus infection derailed everything. one thing i’m tracking separately: the thigh texture vs the loose skin above it. those are not the same variable. the dimpling itself may improve with continued fat loss. the skin laxity from two cycles of rapid change is a different problem and probably doesn’t have the same resolution. if you’re in active loss, i’d wait until you’ve been stable for at least 3-4 months before deciding what you’re actually looking at.
