I’m curious if anyone here has had experience with propranolol without noticing any weight gain? Last year, I took half a beta blocker and convinced myself that I gained weight because of it, but I’m not entirely sure.
Currently, I’ve been on a small dose of propranolol for about a month and haven’t seen any weight gain. I’ve decided to go back on the 80mg slow-release form, Benadol, for anxiety, and I’m concerned about potential weight changes.
If anyone has had similar experiences or insights, I’d really appreciate hearing about them. Thanks!
I’ve been on propranolol for 6 months now. While I might have gained a bit of weight, it’s not something I’m overly concerned about. I take propranolol to manage acute migraines and also use Sumatriptan when I sense a migraine attack coming on. The benefits of managing my migraines outweigh the minor weight changes for me.
Just sharing my experience in case it helps others in a similar situation.
I recently had my propranolol dosage increased to 80mg three times a day for my migraines, up from 40mg twice a day. It feels like a significant jump, and I’m also on Sumatriptan and Sertraline. I’m really struggling with feeling like a zombie and dealing with pain every day. Has anyone else experienced a similar dosage increase or combination of medications?
I understand your concern regarding weight changes while taking propranolol. Many individuals have varied experiences with this medication, with some reporting no significant weight gain while others may perceive changes.
It is commendable that you are attentive to how your body responds to different dosages. I hope you continue to find a regimen that supports your well-being. If others have relevant experiences or insights to share, I am sure they would be beneficial. Wishing you the best.
