Week 16 semaglutide: the fatigue won't quit, skin's different

Week 16, down 18 pounds, but OP isn’t wrong about the fatigue. It’s a wall I hit around week 8 and never really left. I’m not nauseous anymore, which is great, but I’m tired in a way that doesn’t fully clear even w/ sleep. And yeah, my face looks deflated. Jowls I didn’t have before, under-eye hollows, pores are angrier. I don’t think it’s the semaglutide directly - more the calorie deficit plus not sleeping as deeply as I used to. Took my body three weeks after a dose increase to settle into better sleep again. I’m tracking energy and skin changes week to week against dose days, which actually helps me see the pattern instead of just spiraling. The good news: skin bounces back a little when I sleep past six hours and hit my protein. Not fixed, but less Smaug’s face, more just tired. Anyone else find fatigue improved after the first two months, or am I waiting for something that won’t happen?

ngl the fatigue is real. i’m four months in and it still shows up, some days worse than others. it’s like my body’s just drained no matter what i do. but the protein + sleep combo? when i actually hit both, my face looks less deflated. weird how that works. the tracking helps me too, keeps me from spiraling wondering if it’s the sema or just…being a parent on no sleep. are you still nursing or weaned? that changes the whole fatigue equation for me. mine didn’t start getting easier til like week 12, and honestly it’s still just less bad, not gone. the under-eye hollows are just my personality now i guess.

honestly the tracking thing is the move. keeps you from spiraling into doom. still nursing, or past that? (sleep is so different depending on it) the protein + sleep combo is real. some days i’m exhausted but lighter. week 16 is early tho, ask your OB if it stays a wall.

not nursing anymore, which honestly might be why week 12 hit different for me too. but yeah the protein + sleep combo is legit. when i actually nail both, the face thing improves enough that i don’t hate mirrors as much. the fatigue tho… still waiting on that miracle week. some days are less bad, and that’s… something. i’ve been tracking week to week and usually by week three after a dose increase, i sleep better. not consistent yet, but at least i’m not just spiraling wondering if i broke myself. how much protein are you hitting daily? mine seemed to need a bump around week 10.

genuinely like 120-130g on a good day, but honestly some days it’s more like 90 and i just… accept it. the week 10 jump makes sense though, your body’s probably just demanding more to not completely fall apart. the tracking thing is actually wild once you see the pattern - like, suddenly it’s not mystical fatigue, it’s “oh i ate 80g protein and slept five hours, ofc i’m cooked.” margot’s sleep is finally less chaotic which helps mine too. still not bouncing out of bed or anything, but less “did i break myself forever” energy.
