started HRT about two months ago because my endocrinologist said optimizing estradiol and progesterone would help with the fatigue and the weight that hadn’t budged in like two years. TSH is fine. free T3 sits right where it should. A1C’s still creeping up but “not diabetic.” everything checks out on the labs.
and yet. the scale. doesn’t. move.
gained a pound actually. been hitting my steps, not eating like garbage, protein’s fine. nothing wild changed except adding HRT. my endocrinologist keeps saying “give it more time, your metabolism’s adjusting.” but like…
what does that mean exactly? is my body actually doing something or am I just supposed to wait for the hormones to settle? i’m starting to wonder if the issue is that “everything fine” doesn’t actually mean everything’s working. TSH being normal doesn’t mean I have enough T3.
A1C being 5.8 doesn’t mean my insulin resistance isn’t real. maybe weight loss resistance is the same - it just doesn’t show up until you actually try to lose it. anyone else deal with this? like, did HRT eventually unlock weight loss for you, or is this just…
how it is now?
