Tried pre-dosing before my hormonal window, three cycles in

cycle day 24 to 26 is my window, estradiol drop shows up there on the last two bloodwork pulls. so this cycle and the two before it i started naproxen on day 23, a full day before i’d normally reach for anything, just to see if getting ahead of the drop changes anything. cycle 1: worked, no full attack, just a dull baseline bump.

cycle 2: didn’t matter, attack hit day 25 anyway, same intensity as usual. cycle 3: partial, shorter attack but still needed a nurtec on top. so one for three isn’t nothing but it’s not a pattern either.

my neuro’s read is that day 23 dosing might just be catching random luteal noise, not the actual hormone drop, since ovulation timing moves around on me by a couple days each cycle. has anyone actually nailed down their own drop day close enough that pre-dosing works more than half the time, or is this mostly luck dressed up as a protocol?

that neuro’s read on ovulation timing shifting is probably the key here. before metformin, my LH surge could be anywhere from cycle day 18 to 35, and i know that pushes everything else back. so a set dose

before metformin, my LH surge could be anywhere from cycle day 18 to 26, so a consistent ‘day 23’ pre-dose for an estradiol drop would have been pure guesswork for me. it sounds like
