Tirzepatide Timing Matters

day 30 on 2.5mg tirz. i’ve been playing around with dosing timing to see how it affects my glucose and weight loss. what i’ve found is that taking it in the morning instead of before bed makes a big difference for me. my fasting glucose is about 10 mg/dl lower when i take it in the am.

also, i’ve noticed that my hunger is more manageable throughout the day when i dose in the morning. anyone else experiment with different timing? i’m curious to know if it’s just me or if there’s something to this. i’ve been tracking my numbers pretty closely and it seems like the half-life of tirz is around 5 days for me, which is pretty consistent with what i’ve read.

but the timing thing is what’s really interesting to me. has anyone else noticed a difference?

does that 10 mg/dl difference hold up consistently across your full injection week?

it’s good you’re tracking so closely on the day 30 mark, but the actual impact of morning versus evening for a weekly tirz shot usually gets integrated and smoothed by the ~5-day half-life once you’re at steady state.

tirz half life is around 5 days for you, which is pretty consistent with what you’ve read, but i’m wondering if meal timing plays a role in glucose response, you mentioned taking it in the morning makes a difference, what about fasting vs fed state

your observed glucose and hunger shifts are real as anecdotal experience. But inferring a 5-day half-life from that data after only 30 days on 2.5mg is a specific PK claim that’s missing the underlying measurement.

2.5mg: fasting glucose too flat to read
