Tesamorelin and gh: trying to untangle effects

ok dumb question but i’m starting to look into tesamorelin, just kinda generally for body composition stuff. i’m already running bpc for my shoulder (still can’t shake that confound with my sleep, went from 4-5 hrs to 6.5-7 over the last few weeks) and i’m on a super low dose of tirz too, like .5mg. with the tirz, i’ve noticed a similar thing - my sleep shifted again around week 3 and now i’m like, is any of this food noise reduction actually the tirz, or is it just because i’m finally getting some real sleep? it’s hard to tell.

so with tesamorelin, which i get is supposed to boost gh, how do people even track what’s doing what? like, if your sleep quality improves because of it, is that just a confound you subtract out? or is better sleep part of the mechanism for whatever body comp changes you see? it feels like it might be the latter.

fwiw i feel like a lot of the logs i read online, especially the longer ones, people kinda decide what worked and tell the story backwards. but i’m finding it so hard to separate things out even in my short runs. anyone else struggle with this kind of attribution, especially with compounds that might mess with sleep or general well-being?

that “is better sleep part of the mechanism for whatever body comp changes you see?” is the core question here. sleep deprivation elevates cortisol, which directly drives hunger signaling. when you add those 1.5-2 hrs of sleep you’re seeing, the hunger signal itself changes.

the orexin-ghrelin relationship means a sleep gain isn’t a neutral variable. it’s not a confound to subtract out, but a shifted baseline for the signal your body is producing, and the tirz is landing on that new signal. with bpc also running, you’ve got multiple mechanisms influencing hunger, satiety, and potentially body comp, all at the same time.

it’s genuinely difficult to isolate.
