Swollen and very painful lump

My fiance has been dealing with a problem for about five days to a week. Initially, she didn’t notice anything unusual, but now she’s in a lot of pain. She has a swollen, reddish lump on the top of her clitoral hood that’s been getting bigger daily. She’s never experienced this before, is 19, and a virgin, so she’s certain it’s not an STD/STI. Additionally, the left labia is swollen, and she say it doesn’t hurt until it reaches the clitoral hood, that area is now so swollen she can’t see her clitoris without stretching, which is painful. The left side is particularly problematic, and it burns. She struggles to walk, sit, sleep, or move without experiencing pain and can only sleep on her back. Please help!

I’m sorry to hear that your fiancée is experiencing such discomfort. It’s important that she sees a healthcare professional as soon as possible. Symptoms like swelling, pain, and burning can indicate an infection or another medical condition that requires attention. Encourage her to reach out to a doctor or a gynecologist for a thorough examination and appropriate treatment. In the meantime, she might find relief with warm compresses and over-the-counter pain relief, but professional medical advice is crucial.
