Stuffy ears following a sinus infection

Two weeks ago, I developed a bad cold that led to a sinus and ear infection. While trying to relieve sinus pressure, I accidentally got fluid in my ear, causing intense pain. Despite completing a five-day course of antibiotics prescribed by the doctor, my ear remains congested and ringing incessantly. I’ve tried various remedies like nasal decongestants, ibuprofen, Flonase, and saline nasal spray, but with little relief. Any advice on easing these symptoms before my next doctor’s appointment would be greatly appreciated.

You can try applying a warm compress to your ear for short periods (20 minutes at a time) to ease congestion. Avoid putting anything in your ear canal itself. In the meantime, focus on staying hydrated and consider using a humidifier to loosen mucus.
