seven weeks in and i’m stuck. was cruising along, losing steady, and then just… nothing. i know gi tolerance isn’t the same as the medication being done working, but it’s hard not to think that when the burps clear up and the weight loss slows.
i’ve been tracking everything in careclinic, and the correlation view actually showed me that my sulfur burps were worse on high-fat days, not high-protein ones. that was a surprise. anyway, has anyone else stalled at this dose? what did you do to get things moving again?
was it just a matter of time or did you have to tweak something? i’m trying not to jump to conclusions, but it’s frustrating when everything else seems to be working except the scale
“it’s frustrating when everything else seems to be working except the scale” That’s probably the most important sentence in your post. A stall on the scale isn’t the same as a stall in progress, especially around the 6-10 week mark. The first several weeks of a caloric drop come with a significant loss of glycogen and the intracellular water bound to it; that looks like rapid, easy progress.
Once that system finds its new baseline, the scale seems to stop moving. The underlying fat loss is likely continuing at the same pace, but it’s no longer being amplified by the water-weight signal. The GI side effects clearing up is just your gut adapting, mostly to the GIP component.
That’s a different clock entirely from the central appetite signaling. One system settling down doesn’t mean the other one has stopped working.
