Split dose helped but the crash won't fully quit

Split dosing absolutely changed things for me - no more 1pm crash where I’m about to pass out at my desk. That’s real progress. But I’m a few weeks in now and I’m still exhausted by mid-afternoon. The edge is off, but the wall is still there.

My endo says the numbers are good. TSH, free T4, both in range now. I don’t doubt the labs - the split dose clearly helped something. But I’m wondering if I’ve been treating the wrong problem.

What if some of this is cortisol crashing by afternoon? Or blood sugar stuff that doesn’t show up in a single A1C number? I’ve been logging everything in CareClinic - when the crash hits, what I ate that morning, stress, where I am in my cycle. Patterns are starting to show up, but they don’t match my thyroid numbers.

The crash happens even on days when the bloodwork looks perfect. Has anyone figured out their afternoon fatigue wasn’t thyroid at all, but something metabolic they needed to look at separately? Because I’m starting to think I might be optimizing the completely wrong thing here.
