Six weeks of eating differently, cycles actually shifting

finally got my fasting insulin done in april after asking three times, it came back 19, HOMA-IR landed at 3.4. gyn’s response was basically a shrug so i started making my own changes bc waiting for a referral wasn’t working. protein at breakfast instead of just coffee, walking after dinner instead of after work, cut the granola bars i was eating on autopilot.

six weeks in and cycle day 38 this time instead of the 45 i had in march. one data point, i know, don’t want to get ahead of myself, but it’s the first shift since spiro that wasn’t random. i log everything so i can actually see it instead of guessing, and the pattern is there on the page even if it’s early.

endo appt isn’t till september so i’m just tracking and waiting. anyone else make diet/insulin changes on their own before a specialist weighed in, and did the cycle length actually respond or was it a coincidence you talked yourself into?
