Silent aura without headache is that even possible?

i had one of those silent auroras last week, and it honestly freaked me out. working shift, just standing in a hallway, and suddenly my vision started weirdly skipping - kinda like screen tearing on an old monitor. wasn’t painful at all, no throbbing or anything even worse than normal prodrome stuff.

tbh, the worst part was that i felt totally fine otherwise. zero photophobia, zero nausea, just the visual artifact and then it popped off. never thought aura could happen without any accompanying headache pain, ever.

usually there’s at least some level of tenderness or pressure build-up to go with it. i wonder if when the aura is truly silent like that, does it mean something different than a typical migraine event? anyone else had an ‘aura day’ where there was no headache component whatsoever.
