Shoulder update, week 8 of rehab after second BPC cycle

Quick log on where I am. Pain 5/10 dropped to 2/10 over cycle 2, bench still stuck at 285 but the warm-up sets finally feel clean. Second cycle was near-site subcu 250mcg 2x/day for 4 weeks. Hard to separate from the deload; I know. Anyone else actually notice a difference between site-local and systemic on tendon stuff, or is that bro-science? genuinely asking.

honest answer: the site-local vs systemic thing on BPC is mostly bro-science in the sense that subcu anywhere gets you systemic exposure pretty quickly. the peptide is small and absorbs fast. the “near-site” ritual probably doesn’t do what people think it does pharmacokinetically. that said, two things actually matter in what you did and get conflated with “site-local”: 1. 250mcg 2x/day is a more continuous exposure curve than 500mcg once. tendon/ligament repair is slow-turnover tissue, steadier trough levels plausibly matter more than peak.
2. the deload. 4 weeks of reduced provocation on a cranky shoulder is itself a tendon intervention. you cannot separate them from an n=1. if you want to actually test it next cycle, hold the schedule and the training load constant and change only injection site. otherwise you are measuring three things at once.
