My doctor is great but doesn’t always listen to all the details, so I’m hoping to get some insights from others…
Around early November 2019, I started feeling bouts of fatigue, like low blood sugar—weak, shaky, and light-headed…My doctor did blood work and found low vitamin D and slightly high creatinine levels, but he wasn’t concerned. He gave me acid reducers for stomach pain
During Thanksgiving, I developed a small blister on my back and soreness on my front. My wife, who had shingles, thought it looked similar but wasn’t worried. The next day, I had a rash of blisters on my front…My doctor later diagnosed me with shingles and prescribed antiviral medication
I have a few questions:
- Could the fatigue be related to shingles, even though the rash appeared later???
- Can fatigue persist intermittently over a month after the outbreak?
- Could nerve pain from shingles and a muscle pull in the same area be connected?
I had another fatigue episode this morning after working outside but it seems less frequent now… Any advice or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
