Seeking Help for Persistent Dizziness, Brain Fog, and Unexplained Symptoms

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out here because I’m feeling completely stuck and don’t know where else to turn. I’m a 23-year-old Caucasian female, and for the past five months, I’ve been experiencing debilitating symptoms that have affected every aspect of my daily life. These symptoms are constant, and I feel them every single day.

It all started with dizziness and persistent brain fog. At first, I thought it was just a bug and tried to carry on, but these symptoms never went away. The “brain fog” I’m experiencing is more than just feeling unfocused—it’s a profound mental confusion. My memory is terrible, I can’t concentrate, and it feels like there’s a dark fog clouding my thoughts. I constantly feel disoriented and hazy, like I’m in a dream-like state.

On top of that, I’m always dizzy and experience a pulling sensation, almost like I’m going to fall over any second. It’s as if there’s air trapped inside my head, and I feel lightheaded all the time. Whenever I try to drive, this pulling sensation only gets worse, making it feel unsafe to be behind the wheel.

My vision is also a major issue—everything is blurry, and I’ve been experiencing double vision. Anything up close is almost impossible to focus on, and it feels like my depth perception is completely off. It’s like I’m stuck in an endless, distorted dream.

I’ve also been dealing with frequent headaches and severe head pressure. The pain starts at the back of my head, near my neck, and radiates to my temples, and the pain behind my eyes feels like sharp jabs. My head constantly feels heavy, and I can’t shake the pain.

These symptoms have caused overwhelming anxiety, panic attacks, and an unsettling sense of detachment from my body, as though I’m no longer connected to myself. I’ve had to drop all of my college courses and quit my job because I can barely get out of bed. I haven’t been able to drive in months and struggle to walk around.

I’ve seen my general doctor, two ENTs, and one neurologist, had two MRIs, a hearing test, a VNG, and several blood tests—but no one can figure out what’s wrong. I’m at my breaking point and just don’t know how much longer I can live like this.

If anyone has any advice, suggestions, or ideas on what might be going on, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you.

sorry to hear that but my headaches started from dizziness as well and now i have both of these every single day! not to mention the brain fog. what are you taking now?

I’m not currently taking any medication because each doctor I’ve seen has suggested a different possible diagnosis and then referred me to someone else. As a result, no one has prescribed me anything. Are you on any medication? How long have you been dealing with these symptoms? I’ve gone to the ER a few times, and they gave me a 10-day prescription for meclizine, but it didn’t help at all.
