so during my hormonal window, 6 days every cycle, i’m hitting my triptan like 3-4 times. then the next day i get what feels like a rebound headache. makes me wonder if that counts as an actual migraine day or if it’s just a side effect of overusing the abortive. i’ve been on ajovy 3 years and tracking like crazy.
the pattern’s stupid clear: days 2-8 of my cycle, same every time. but my preventive doesn’t fully cover that window, so i’m chasing abortives those days. and it feels like that’s creating a whole other problem. my neuro hasn’t really addressed it straight up, so i’m wondering if this is just what chronic daily looks like at 15+ days a month.
is the rebound headache part of my actual count or a side effect of trying to manage what’s already uncontrolled? anyone else deal with this? what helped?
