get asked this enough i figured i’d just lay it out. what device - polar chest strap, not the wrist one. wrist reads garbage when i’m sitting still which is most of my day now. how’d you find your ceiling - three weeks of writing down HR next to what i was doing when it hit certain numbers, then matching that against when the crash landed.
mine’s 102. anything sustained over that and i’m paying for it 24-36 hrs later, not same day. isn’t that just spoon theory with a number - no, and this is the part people get wrong. spoons are a feeling, feelings lie to you when you’re wired/tired or your baseline brain fog makes 102 feel like nothing.
the strap doesn’t care how you feel. it just tells you the truth before you know you need it. does it stop crashes - no. it just gives me a beep before i cross the line instead of finding out 30 hrs later why i can’t get off the couch.
still crash sometimes. fewer blindside ones though. what’s your resting - 78, which my old GP called “fine.” it’s fine sitting down. it’s not fine what it does standing up.
anyone tracking a specific number instead of vibes, what’s yours?
