75mg pregabalin, three months in. nerve pain dropped from a 6-7 to more like a 4-5 most days. that part is actually working. but something shifted in my energy pattern and i can’t tell if it’s the drug or just fibro progressing.
before pregabalin i had a usable window. roughly 7am to 2pm, sometimes 3. i’d front-load the physical stuff at work, pace the afternoon, manage. not comfortable but manageable.
now i’m crashing by noon. like hard. brain goes first, typing slows, everything feels underwater. and it doesn’t matter how well i slept the night before.
i’ve been tracking it for six weeks because i track everything and the pattern is consistent: the crash happens between 11am and 1pm basically every day. it doesn’t correlate to what i did 48 hours earlier the way my flares do. it’s flat, predictable, medication-shaped. work is 8-5 and mostly desk stuff but also moving boxes, stairs, that whole thing.
losing my functional hours to the drug that’s supposed to be helping me function is a bad trade. i want to ask about dropping to 50mg but pain clinic is still two months out and i don’t want to torch the nerve pain improvement on my own. did the fatigue side effect ever actually improve for anyone past month 3, or did you just reorganize your whole day around it?
