I regret taking Prilosec. I got sick last December, and Docs prescribed Omeprazole for 2 weeks. No issues then, but stopped and got hit with acid rebound, went to ER. Dose upped to 40mg 2x a day, and things got worse. I had diarrhea, blurry vision, brain fog, muscle twitches, lost weight and diagnosed with colitis. Kept taking it, but more symptoms popped up – brain fog, memory loss, fatigue, anxiety. Finally, it stopped after 4.5 months, but still twitched after 11 days off it. Has anyone else been through this? Did you fully recover? Wondering if the damage is permanent. I used to be healthy at early age and still recovering. Appreciate any advice!
