read glorioso’s sirtuin overview and got teh opposite of what supplement companies want: she’s deep in the MIT research and doesn’t take NAD+ supplements herself. that’s the tell. the mechanism is elegant. sirtuins decline with age. NAD+ fuels the pathway. makes sense on paper. but clinical trials are thin. mechanistic studies everywhere, zero compelling human data on lifespan or healthspan. i’m tracking glucose daily, A1c quarterly, numbers in a spreadsheet. if i’m adding something systemic, i need data that moves. not “sirtuins matter so buy this.” has anyone here actually measured NAD+ levels before and after supplementation? or are we hoping the mechanism translates?
