so i’ve been reading pcos fatigue research, and most studies say fatigue peaks in the luteal phase when progesterone rises. but tracking my own fatigue against ovulation and lh surge, it doesn’t actually peak where the literature says. my worst days are usually 3-4 days after lh surge, sometimes even before confirmed ovulation.
a study i read on insulin resistance suggested that’s more the driver of pcos fatigue than progesterone itself. the timing tracks way better with blood sugar crashes than hormonal phases, tbh. but my docs don’t really talk about fatigue as a separate tracking metric.
they ask how i’m feeling, i say tired, and that’s it. anyone else tracking fatigue day-by-day and finding it doesn’t match the literature? or is my anovulation pattern just too chaotic for the research to apply?
