ok so i just had my annual abt stuff and they ordered this jc virus test. i haven’t really looked into what it means for my mtns treatment choices (dmt), but the neurologist was super specific about how the result might narrow things down, which is kinda scary.
i guess it just makes you realize how much of these decisions hang on one weird lab value and not just the lesion load or edss score. i’m supposed to call my primary care doc to figure out the next steps, lmk if anyone else had a specific virus test result that derailed their treatment plan or changed what they were doing.
