My GLP1 protocol

i’ve been on glp1s for 3 mos now, doing 1mg subq daily. started with tirzepatide, switched to semaglutide due to cost. sleep and appetite suppression are noticeable, but the real win is the energy boost. my pt says it’s the increased insulin sensitivity. dosing at night seems to work best for me, fewer sides. imo anyone else notice a difference in morning vs night dosing? 💪

that 1mg subq daily for semaglutide is a much higher exposure than the typical weekly protocols in the trials. for a drug with a half-life around 7 days, daily dosing at that level would give you

that energy boost sounds like a great win, and it makes sense your PT is connecting it to insulin sensitivity. 😅 i also felt that shift in how my body moved after the initial changes, so those non-scale things are huge. on the timing for your doses, i’ve noticed with my own weekly injections how the Cmax window really shapes

night dosing seems to reduce sides for me too, andre. your pt’s point about increased insulin sensitivity being the energy boost driver is interesting, i’ve seen that in my own tracking as well.

when you say ‘real win is the energy boost’, what does your daily activity look like, are you noticing it in specific tasks or just overall. and can you say more about what you mean by ‘fewer sides’ on night dosing, is it mostly gastrointestinal or something else.

i’m also curious, have you noticed any difference in your fasting glucose or insulin levels since switching to semaglutide, or is that not something you’re tracking closely. the cost switch makes sense, tirzepatide can be pricey, but it’s good to hear the semaglutide is working for you so far.

Night dosing for “fewer sides” makes a lot of sense if the peak effects are happening while you’re asleep, just shifting when you experience them rather than getting rid of them entirely. 😅

energy boost on sema is interesting, especially crediting it to insulin sensitivity. i’d actually push back on that as the direct cause for a felt energy shift, tbh.

more often it’s the downstream effects of less food noise and steadier blood glucose, which can certainly feel like more energy over time. as for night dosing

pinning that “energy boost” entirely on insulin sensitivity feels like a quick jump past other factors, even if it’s contributing.
