My fatigue sleep pattern

been away a bit. so i’ve been tracking my sleep and fatigue for a while now, trying to figure out what’s going on. i’ve noticed that even when i get a full night’s sleep, my fatigue doesn’t really improve.

it’s like my body is still in this constant state of exhaustion. has anyone else experienced this? i’ve been on kesimpta for a bit now and it’s helped with some of my other symptoms, but the fatigue is still a major issue.

i’ve also been trying to exercise more, but it’s hard when you’re already feeling so tired. someone posted about this in a thread on exercise and ms, but i didn’t see any real solutions. anyone have any ideas?

“full night’s sleep” can be misleading. it’s not just the hours in bed, it’s what those hours actually look like.

when i was dealing with my own fatigue, i realized i was getting plenty of ‘sleep’ but my deep sleep and rem cycles were shot. are you tracking those specific phases, not just total time?

that’s where i found the disconnect.

what does ‘full night’s sleep’ look like for you, hours and quality?

that disconnect between getting full sleep and still feeling ‘constant state of exhaustion’ is exactly what i’ve dealt with for years with long covid. for me, it’s not about the hours but the unrefreshing nature of the sleep itself, leading directly into PEM if i push the exercise. have you tracked sleep quality metrics, like rem or deep sleep percentages, beyond just hours?
