paramedic work beat it into me - exact vitals, exact times, report everything. but w/ my own migraines i was just, “yeah, happens a lot.” turns out a lot is not a real number. started logging every time i felt the prodrome or aura. thought maybe 8-9 days a month. first month of actual tracking? 14 days. some were just baseline pressure, some were full attacks with postdrome the next day, but they all counted.
idk, biggest shock wasn’t the number though. it was the pattern. barometric pressure drops, boom, 2-3 days later something hits. high stress shifts gave me the aura on day 3 almost every single time. when i was just guessing, all of that looked random. impossible to track. imo the pattern matters more than the count for your doc, but you need the count first to see the pattern. hard to argue anything’s actually happening if you’re just saying “idk, a bunch.” anyone else find out their memory was completely off once you tracked? how long did it take to believe the real number?
