been a bit quiet, work was wild lately. but this thing with twitching has been on my mind… sometimes i’ll get this feeling like a muscle is twitching, usually in my leg or arm, but when i look, nothing. no movement, no actual fasciculation.
it’s just this internal vibration almost. it’s not spasticity either, bc you can see that. is that actually a thing with ms? or am i just hyper-aware now?
bc feeling like something is happening that isn’t visible is kinda scary. like what does that even mean? does anyone else get that specific phantom twitch feeling and what do you do with it?
fresh from my own experiences with neurological weirdness, I can totally get why you’d find that internal vibration feeling unsettling, especially when it doesn’t correlate with any visible movement. You mention it’s “not spasticity either, bc you can see that” which makes me think about the times I’ve had similar sensations and had to dig deeper to understand what was going on.
In my case, it sometimes turned out to be related to medication side effects or even stress, but I’ve also learned that it’s crucial to track these feelings and discuss them with my doc to rule out anything more serious. I’ve found that using a symptom tracker, like the one I set up in CareClinic, helps me keep tabs on when these feelings happen and what might be triggering them, and the dose reminders are handy for staying on top of my medication schedule.
Have you considered keeping a log of when these sensations occur and what you’re doing at the time, it might help you identify a pattern or trigger.
