Magnesium timing on tirz: nightly habit might be the wrong window

Something I’ve been rethinking that isn’t really about the drug itself, it’s about supplement timing. I take magnesium glycinate at night, have for years, mostly for sleep. Never thought about it in relation to my injection day until I started mapping my constipation pattern against the calendar. On tirzepatide the gastric motility slowdown isn’t flat across the week. It tracks the half-life. So the slowest gut days for me are roughly day 2 through 4 after the shot. Which means my nightly-as-habit magnesium is landing at a steady dose every day, including the days motility is already at its worst, but not front-loaded into them. So I’m testing front-loading: more magnesium on injection day and the two days after, taper toward the trough end of the week. Not a megadose, just shifting when the same weekly total lands. No conclusion yet, I’m three weeks in and that’s a hunch with a timestamp, not data. But if you’re taking magnesium on autopilot for sleep and fighting constipation separately, the timing relative to your shot might be worth a look. 1.8g/kg protein and water held constant, fwiw.

edit: realized I said that wrong
