had a decent day yesterday. pain at a 4, which is basically a win for me - baseline is more like 6 or 7 depending on the week. brain fog was actually clear for once. woke up thinking, okay, finally, i can do the grocery run and pharmacy.
did both. took my time, got everything. felt fine during. but by the time i got home i just…
hit a wall. not pain-worse necessarily, still sitting at a 4. but completely wiped. spent the rest of the day on the couch doing nothing.
and i’m frustrated because on paper that shouldn’t have happened, right? if pain didn’t spike, why am i so exhausted? i think i’ve been confusing low pain with actual functional capacity. they’re apparently not the same thing.
pain levels aren’t measuring whatever the hell makes my energy tank so fast. anyone else deal with this - where your pain is “managed” by ur own standards but the fatigue is what actually stops you? like, when do you actually feel recovered enough to do stuff, not just low-pain enough?
