Libido changes in perimenopause

i’m 45 and in perimenopause, and one of the things that’s been really affecting me is the change in my libido. it’s not just that it’s lower, it’s that it’s completely unpredictable. some days i’m fine, others i just don’t feel like it at all. i’ve been tracking my symptoms for a few months now, and i’ve noticed that it seems to be linked to my cycle. when i’m closer to ovulation, my libido tends to be higher, but when i’m in the late luteal phase, it’s basically non-existent. i’ve been trying to figure out why this is, and i’ve been doing some research on the hormonal changes that happen during perimenopause. from what i’ve read, it seems like the drop in estrogen levels can affect libido, but i’m not sure if that’s the whole story. has anyone else experienced this? i feel like i’m just kind of winging it here, and i’d love to hear from others who have gone through similar things. fwiw i’ve been using careclinic to track my symptoms, and the daily check-in flow is actually really helpful for me to see patterns and stuff. anyway, i guess what i’m wondering is, is this just something i have to deal with, or are there things i can do to help get my libido back?
