Joint pain on ozempic

i’ve been on ozempic for 8 wks now and i’ve noticed my joint pain is way down. i’ve got lupus and psoriatic arthritis, so this is a big deal for me.

first 4 wks were rough, but after that my joints started feeling better. i’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

someone posted about this in the enthesitis thread, but i’d love to hear more about it. has ozempic helped with your joint pain?

lupus and joint pain are a constant battle for me too, and i’ve noticed similar improvements with certain meds. when you said “first 4 wks were rough, but after that my joints started feeling better” it resonated with me, as i’ve experienced a similar pattern with hydroxychloroquine - the initial flare ups gave way to gradual relief.

my doc thinks it’s the anti-inflammatory properties at play, and i’m wondering if ozempic has a similar mechanism. i’ve been tracking my symptoms in careclinic and the weekly trend summary has helped me spot some correlations between my medication and joint pain, like how my avg morning stiffness has decreased by 30% over the past 3 months.

has anyone else noticed a decrease in inflammatory markers like CRP or ESR after starting ozempic, and if so, what was the timeframe for that change.

it’s interesting you saw improvements after the initial rough patch. what did “first 4 wks were rough” actually mean for your lupus and psa symptoms? like, was that a separate GI thing, or were your actual joint flares
