I had perfect cycle tracking. the diagnosis still took 8 months. that's my take

I logged everything. Actual cycle lengths: 32 days, 40 days, skipped entirely. LH surge timing, ovulation dates or the absence of them, mood, energy. Spreadsheet I brought to every GP appt.

I had numbers now, not vibes. When I finally got to a gynecologist who knew how to read it, she believed me immediately. Anovulation. But here’s what I’m still sitting with: we had 8 mos of perfect documentation and spent that entire time testing on the wrong days.

Day 21 progesterone when my cycles were 40+ days. OPKs starting day 12 when I wasn’t surging until day 18 or later. The tracking was accurate. The protocols just weren’t built for irregular cycles.

So I’m asking people because it’s sitting weird with me: did bringing detailed cycle logs actually speed anything up for you? Or were you still dealing with misaligned testing even with the data in front of your doctor?

it really hits home when you say ‘the protocols just weren’t built for irregular cycles.’ i’ve only been logging my 19-day/42-day cycles for a month, but even with the notes in
