How i’m managing my Multiple Myeloma journey

Living with multiple myeloma is a constant balancing act — some days feel manageable, while others hit harder with bone pain, fatigue, and those unexpected side effects like neuropathy or nausea. It’s taken time, but I’ve learned that managing this condition isn’t just about following treatment plans — it’s about supporting my body and mind in every way I can.

Nutrition has been a big focus for me. I’ve started adding more lean proteins, like chicken and tofu, to help with muscle strength, and I make sure to include colorful fruits and veggies packed with vitamins to support my immune system. Staying hydrated is a must too — something so simple, yet easy to overlook. I’ve also found that small, frequent meals help with the nausea, especially when I stick to bland, easy-to-digest foods.

Exercise looks different now, but it’s still part of my routine. Gentle stretches and short walks have helped me fight off muscle weakness and improve flexibility. I’ve learned to listen to my body — some days, a bit of yoga helps ease the stress and tension, while other days, I just need to rest. And speaking of stress, mindfulness and deep breathing exercises have become essential. It’s incredible how something as simple as slowing down my breath can ease anxiety and help me feel more in control.

It’s not always easy, but making these lifestyle adjustments — alongside my treatment — has made a difference. Every little step adds up. If you’re navigating multiple myeloma too, just know you’re not alone. We’re all figuring this out one day at a time. :yellow_heart:
