How do you even schedule pumps at 12 mos pp?

hey everyone, been a minute. things are still a lot, and niall is 12 mos now, into everything. i’m back at the library full-time and the pumping situation is just not adding up. my doc recommended 2-3 sessions still but between meetings and covering the front desk, finding 30 minutes in a non-bathroom closet is a joke.

yesterday i had to block out my calendar for a ‘deep work session’ just to pump, and of course someone still walked in asking about overdue books. it’s like a bad comedy sketch. my shift starts at 8, first pump is usually 9:30 or 10, then another at 1 or 2. that’s two hours of actual work time, minimum, plus the setup and teardown.

the older librarians are like ‘oh i remember those days’ but they also remember a time without constant zoom calls. i’m 42 and my body feels like it’s still running a marathon from 8 months ago, and now i’m trying to squeeze this in. for those of you back in the office, how are you actually making the math work? is everyone just dropping sessions or what’s the secret?

your body feeling like it’s “still running a marathon from 8 months ago” is a real thing. the pumping situation not adding up is usually about the actual time spent, not just the minutes on the pump. 😂 your doc recommends 2-3 sessions, but logging the full start-to-finish duration, including setup and teardown
