i spent last week dealing with one of those ‘minor’ flares, right? nothing that needed a triptan abortive, just enough to make me really sensitive. i had the full photophobia and allodynia for like three days.
and my supervisor was kinda grilling me about it at work, asking if ‘it would be better if you just avoided going out when you feel off.’ idk what to even say, bc how do u explain a debilitating headache that starts 24 hours before the light fixtures are too much? it’s not like i can just avoid stress triggers all the time. i mean, i log everything in careclinic and i know what my pattern is supposed to be when we talk about prodrome stuff.
but talking to people who don’t have a migraine makes me feel stupid, honestly. does anyone else get cornered by employers with ‘helpful’ questions that miss the point entirely?
