Four months of logging, here's what actually mattered

been tracking for four months straight. sleep, food, caffeine, hydration, weather patterns, stress - all of it in a spreadsheet. figured my neurologist would want to see the full picture, right? migraine days went from like 15-18 a month down to 8-10 on topiramate 50mg. that’s huge. i thought she’d be impressed with the data work. but when i showed up to my appointment, she barely glanced at the food log and weather stuff. instead she homed in on ONE thing: what time of day the attacks were clustered. morning heavy?

tbh afternoon spikes? that’s what she asked about. that’s what changed how she was thinking about the medication timing. all those hours i spent tracking hydration and trying to connect it to attacks… she didn’t mention it once. not saying logging is pointless. the data convinced ME that triggers weren’t the whole story (which i needed to hear). but i was logging for pattern recognition when she was looking for something way more specific about my medication window. anyone else bring logs to their neuro and have her focus on something totally different than what you thought mattered?
