so foot drop started for me a few months back. didn’t happen gradually. woke up one day and suddenly couldn’t lift my foot the way i used to, and now stairs are this whole thing i have to think through. the unglamorous part: it’s not just “can’t walk normal.” your body figures out workarounds.
i’m putting all my weight on the other leg, climbing stairs sideways, gripping railings. little negotiations with my body all day. what made me post this is my neuro mentioned foot drop usually tracks with cervical lesion load. i had an MRI before it started (3 lesions cervical region) and after (5, with gadolinium enhancement on one).
my EDSS went from 3.5 to 4.0. wondering if that timing is typical or more random. i know foot drop can show up at different progression points. i’m trying to spot the actual pattern instead of guessing.
has anyone else had foot drop correlate with visible MRI changes? did your EDSS shift around the same time?
