month 3 on aimovig now, started late march, and the attack count is genuinely down. was averaging something like 14-15 migraine days a month, now closer to 8-9, baseline right-side headache sitting at 1-2/10 instead of 2-3/10 most days. should feel like a win and it mostly does. but the fatigue didn’t move at all.
i get hit with this heavy, can’t-keep-eyes-open exhaustion most afternoons regardless of whether it’s an actual migraine day or a clean day. on topiramate 8 mos now too so i genuinely can’t tell what’s causing what anymore. is the fatigue a prodrome sign i’m not recognizing bc it’s not paired w/ aura this time, is it a side effect stacking from two meds, or is it just its own separate thing that happens to overlap w/ the migraine pattern instead of driving it. pulled a csv export from careclinic for my last neuro appt bc i wanted her to see the day count actually dropping and not just take my word for it, she looked at it for a while and agreed the frequency trend was real, but she couldn’t tell me anything new about the fatigue piece either.
just shrugged and said keep tracking it. so now i’ve got clean data showing the preventive is working and a symptom that doesn’t care that it’s working. anyone tracked fatigue separately from attack days long enough to see if it eventually lines up as its own cycle, or does it usually turn out to be one of the meds and not the migraine at all? trying to figure out which direction to even log this as.
