Does sun really trigger lupus flares

so I spent three hours outside last week. no sunscreen. two days later my hands started swelling. joint pain the next morning.

labs that week: C3 at 89, C4 at 19. flare was full-on by day five. I’ve been tracking six months now and the pattern’s clear: sun hits hard, C3/C4 drops within 48 hours, flare follows. I log sun exposure + flare timing in careclinic so I can actually see the overlap instead of just guessing.

does anyone else watch their labs before the flare hits? or notice sun timing like this?
