i’m on day 4 post-injection and i’m finally thinking in full sentences again. thursdays i take methotrexate, fridays through sunday are basically gone. not the “oh i feel tired” thing - i mean can’t stand for more than 20 minutes, nausea in waves, brain fog so thick i can’t remember what i said five minutes ago. i know the mechanics (immunosuppression, gastric irritation, the whole cascade), but knowing doesn’t help when you’ve got patient appointments stacked tuesdays and wednesdays because you have to build ur entire week around the metho hangover. imo as a PT i see people dealing with chronic stuff all day, then go home and can barely take care of myself. been on it eight months now. my CRP finally dropped from 8.2 to 4.1 at my last rheum check, and my joints feel less angry during the week. so i’m not stopping it. but i’m losing the entire back half of my week just to recover from the fix. does anyone else basically sacrifice one full day, or is it just the timing that messes with you? wondering if there’s something that actually cuts through it, or if this is just the trade-off i have to make
