Does avoiding triggers actually help anyone dunno. eta: one more thing

i’ve logged everything for months now - sleep, food, caffeine, hydration, weather patterns, stress. and yeah, i’ve identified stuff that seems to trigger attacks and mostly stopped doing it. but i still get migraines just as often. so genuine question: does this work for anyone?

like actually noticeably reduce migraine days? bc from what i see, the advice is always “identify and eliminate your triggers” but nobody talks about what happens when you DO that and nothing changes. you’re sitting there with a solid prodrome and no explanation because your logs say you did everything right. maybe the people who say it worked just had fewer triggers to begin with?

or maybe i’m missing something about how preventives interact with trigger management? has anyone actually gotten to a point where cutting out triggers made a real difference? or is it more like… you do all that work and migraines happen anyway, so is the whole thing kinda futile?
