so i’ve got 5 months of logs now and the thing that keeps bugging me is the lag. i used to assume same-day or next-morning, like if i overdid it saturday i’d feel it sunday. but going back through the actual data, my worst flares keep tracing to something two or three days before, not one. like last week’s wednesday crash (7, first time in a month) lined up with a rough sleep night monday, not tuesday which was actually fine.
if i’d only been looking at the day before i would’ve called that flare random. i don’t have a mechanism for this, just the pattern in my own numbers. genuinely asking because i can’t tell if this is a real central sensitization thing where the nervous system processes overload on a delay, or if i’m just pattern-matching noise because i log every single day and something is always slightly off 48-72 hrs back. for people who’ve tracked long enough to see this: is your lag consistent?
like always 2 days, or does it move around depending on what the trigger even was (sleep vs activity vs stress vs weather)? and did a PT or pain clinic doc ever actually explain the delay mechanism to you, or is this one of those things patients figure out before anyone in the system tells us it’s a thing?
