I’m almost 52 and have been using reading glasses for the past couple of years. Lately, I find myself wearing them all the time, especially since I spend a lot of time on the computer and phone. Without glasses, near and intermediate text is blurry, and I’m starting to notice my distance vision deteriorating as well. I’ve been in touch with Praga Medica about lens replacement surgery at a reasonable cost. They’ve offered me either PanOptix trifocal lenses or Vivity EFOF lenses, but after doing some research, I’m totally confused about my options, especially since I drive often at night.
I’m concerned about the trifocal lenses causing halos, which could be a problem when driving. While the Vivity lenses reduce the halo effect, I may still need reading glasses, which I really want to avoid. My goal is to be completely glasses-free, so I’m not sure which option would be best for me.
If anyone has experience with either of these lenses or can offer advice, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
