Chronic doesn't mean every single day

ngl the way “chronic” gets explained is basically useless. yeah technically it means ongoing, but the actual reality is way messier. i have 15+ migraine days a month - sounds chronic, right? except 95% of them happen in the same 6-day window every cycle.

same window every single time. so what am i, chronic or episodic? feels like both. technically chronic bc of the count.

but the pattern is so tight it’s predictable - almost like a brutal episodic cluster that happens to repeat monthly. my Ajovy helps with the background noise between those windows, but that one week still destroys me. i think what people miss is that “chronic” doesn’t mean you’re destroyed every second. it means the pattern is relentless enough that you can’t plan around it.

mine clusters. yours might be random. both suck. does yours cluster like that too, or is it actually scattered across the month?
