I’m curious if anyone has experienced bleeding and pelvic pain after using boric acid vaginally. I thought I might be developing a yeast infection, so I started using the suppositories. By the third day, I felt significant pelvic discomfort and noticed bright red bleeding. I used it for one more day, but the pain and bleeding became concerning. After the fourth day, I stopped using the boric acid, and the bleeding ceased, but my vulva became very irritated—red, dry, and painful on the right side. I also observed small bumps on my labia minora that look like vestibular papillomatosis. Having been in a relationship for nearly 13 years, I’m really worried my partner may have been unfaithful, and I might have contracted an STD. I plan to get tested soon for peace of mind, but I’d love to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience with boric acid. Thanks so much!
It’s important to listen to your body, and it sounds like you had a pretty concerning reaction. Boric acid can help some people, but it’s not for everyone, and irritation or bleeding can occur. It’s good that you’re planning to get tested; that will help clarify things and give you peace of mind. In the meantime, consider reaching out to a healthcare provider about your symptoms—they can give you the best advice and support. Take care of yourself!
