got my labs back yesterday - tryptase 3.2, totally normal according to my allergist. still getting flares 3-4 times a week w/ dermographism that won’t quit. cromolyn barely helps.
here’s what’s bugging me: tryptase baseline is normal, but when does it actually spike? should i have gotten tested during a flare instead of just waiting for an appt to draw blood? does the timing really matter that much, or is my baseline telling me something else is going on?
everyone talks about the tryptase NUMBER but nobody talks about WHEN you test. anyone else get normal baseline results but the test felt kinda pointless?
fwiw.
