Anyone else get flares 6-12 hours after stress ends?

i’ve been logging since january and finally figured out stress hits me harder than food. except now i’m watching this pattern that’s got me puzzled. during a bad work shift i’m tense, heart racing, shoulders locked… but the actual flare - flushing, urticaria, that heavy mast cell feeling - doesn’t kick in for 6-12 hours.

waits until evening or next morning. like my body lags behind the stress. food flares are different… high histamine and i’m flushed within an hour, maybe two.

so is this lag time normal for stress-triggered flares? if i know a flare is coming 8 hours after work, can i preempt it with cromolyn or H1 blockers? or does the lag mean the whole approach needs to be different? has anyone else noticed this pattern?
