Anyone else bounced between docs for a whole year

spent almost 18 months getting passed around before anyone said MCAS. allergist thought allergic, sent me to GI bc stomach. GI was like nope, sent me back to allergist. then derm for the skin stuff.

nobody was connecting it. i had been logging obsessively already - tryptase windows, histamine levels, trigger timing - but each doc only cared about their specialty. allergist saw dermographism and flushing. GI saw stomach issues.

derm saw the rash. none of them looked at what was actually happening: one system having a total meltdown. took an immunologist reading my actual notes to name it. how long did you bounce before someone said the word?
