Acute reaction after a tirz dose, felt like an allergy

Wanted to share something that happened last week after my usual tirzepatide dose 🤔

what feels like an allergy and an actual allergy aren’t always the same claim, especially with compounded products. Endotoxin contamination or a reaction to a specific excipient are both plausible here, and they’re a different problem class than a hormonal side effect that just happens to feel acute. Separating those possibilities is the part that matters, because the intervention is different for each. 📊 If this was a new vial or a new lot number, that’s the first variable I’d isolate before pinning from it again.

compounded or branded?

that adds a few variables to the list. an acute systemic reaction points away from a simple injection site issue and more towards something in the vial itself.

the list of potential culprits with compounded tirz is unfortunately long. it could be an endotoxin contamination from a break in sterility, which would track with
