sent my employer a formal accommodations letter. included my fibro diagnosis and my rheum’s recommendations - nothing crazy, just schedule flexibility around my worst flare windows and fewer full-day standing shifts. response: “you don’t look sick” and that i should “be tougher.” weird position when you’re the PT yourself and they still won’t believe you. they denied it.
moved me to a different clinic location without asking. first week back, three-day flare. couldn’t grip a theraband. pain was 7-8 the whole time.
my shoulders’ tender points were screaming. brain fog so bad i blanked on patient names mid-session. did anyone else have to fight their workplace over this? does it get better?
